Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

In an effort to take care of women everywhere, whether you are buying for yourself or a loved one I’ve rounded up some of my favorite things on Amazon. If you need a last-minute gift or just want to treat yourself, maybe you will find something here. I very rarely splurge on myself so if it’s not Mother’s Day and you want to do something for yourself, bookmark this page for later.

Reading is one of my favorite things to do and how I finish my day, every day. I’ve been a reader my entire life and I cannot fall asleep without reading a book. In the last couple of years, I’ve added audiobooks so I get to read two books at a time! One in my ear and one in my bed. :) Since adding Penny (our beloved, crazy Golden Retriever) to our family I listen to books on our walks and when I’m doing chores around the house. Audible is a lovely gift that just keeps on giving. One free credit per month for an audiobook purchase and on your Kindle you can add the audio version of the book you are reading for just a few bucks. I use Audible when I just NEED to get a book and it’s not available at the library.

Audible , my Kindle and Kindle cover

And, some of my recent light & fun reads are:

Nora Goes Off Script

Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting

Maggie Moves On

Finlay Donovan is Killing It (1st in a series, they’re all fun!)

American Royals (also a series, YA!)

If you have the luxury of time and can take a bath, grab your book and relax! This bath tray is perfect to keep everything dry and organized. And, you need a bath pillow so you don’t slide down into the tub!

After you’ve relaxed, hopefully by yourself, you need some loungewear. I perfected this look during the Pandemic. I only wear leggings when I’m working out so I love a jogger or a set to hang out in.

Joggers- these are my favorite ever. They are super-soft, warm, and have an elastic waist. What more could you ask for? I have them in multiple colors. And, they are only $23!

If you feel the need to match, this is for you. Sweatsuit Set

I’ve been living in this sweatshirt/fleece hoodie for a couple of months. It’s so comfortable. It’s great for PNW summers at the beach when it’s sunny & windy and 65 degrees out.

I live in my slippers at home. I have to wear some with more arch support now (thanks mid-forties) so I love these Vionic slippers. If you don’t need that kind of support my go-to for years were these Uggs.

You know I love all things kitchen related. Some of my favorite things are on sale right now. These items are pricier but as I like to tell my husband they are investment pieces.

Ember Mug- keeps your coffee (or tea) at the temp you want it!

Ninja Creami- ice cream, smoothie bowls, and MILKSHAKES!! You do need to plan ahead just a bit but it’s SO worth it. Especially with summer coming up.

Vitamix- this pricing is a promotion for Mother’s Day! We’ve used Vitamix in restaurants for over 20 years. About 10-12 years ago they became available to everyone. We’ve had ours for at least ten years. They are definitely an investment but they do everything! You can actually make soup in a blender (and it will be hot) as well as sauces, smoothies, and dips, plus you can grind grains and nuts. It’s a workhorse and a well-loved and used appliance.

But, if you just need a blender for one and one you can travel with, we love the Dash blender. It’s called the Mighty Mini and I love it!

Anova Sous Vide Stick- this was a gift to myself last year. It’s fun to play around and be sciency with food. Tons of options and recipes to try! I love Serious Eats for inspiration!
