October Prime Day Picks
October Prime Big Deal Days are in just a couple of days. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites and a few I hope to purchase this week. This is a great time to purchase holiday gifts and restock your house. Higher priced items are often deeply discounted and you likely won’t find deals cheaper, even on Black Friday.

Cuisinart Immersion Blender-Cuisinart CSB-179 Smart Stick Variable Speed Hand Blender, Stainless Steel. This is a workhorse for me in my kitchen. I turn to this when I don’t want to pull out the Vitamix or Cuisinart because I’m making something small. Also, it’s perfect for pureeing soup in the pot.
Ninja OP302 Foodi 9-in-1 Pressure, Broil, Dehydrate, Slow Cooker, Air Fryer, and More, with 6.5 Quart Capacity. I never thought I’d like an appliance better than my InstantPot (which I still love) but I love my Ninja Foodi!
Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor - this is the updated version of my 20-year-old Cuisinart. It’s always been a workhorse in my kitchen.
Quart Containers- you’ll find these in every restaurant. Use them at home too.
Travel Items
Packing Cubes- if you aren’t using cubes, what you are you waiting for? Especially great with the kids!
Car Backseat Organizer 2 Pack- these go over captain’s chairs. My big kids love them because they hold EVERYTHING. It’s a must for road trips.
Quick Dry Towels- another road trip necessity in our family. I used one to sit on so I didn’t stick to my seat. They can be used for quick & easy clean up for spills. They’re quick-drying and washable.
Citra Solv Air Scense Essential Oil Air Freshener- if you are sharing a bathroom with your family you need this.
Travel Cable Organizer Bag- all the chargers go here.
Around the house
Chirp Wheel- back problems, you need this. Also, will fall under your HSA so get reimbursed for it.
Ziplock Bag Storage- for the kitchen or garage.
iRobot Roomba i4+ - this is a purchase that I ask myself why I didn’t get it sooner. It works so well, especially with a Golden Retriever.
Tineco Floor ONE S5 PRO 2 use this after the Roomba does its job!
All Things Lunch(box)
Bento Box- Probably their most popular lunchbox! It comes in a wide variety of colors and kids love them. They are easy to open and fun to pack.
Bentgo Salad Bowl- I love this because it has a huge bowl on the bottom, an insert for salad dressing, toppings, and a fork!
Bentgo Classic Stackable Lunchbox- Perfect two-compartment bento box which you can break up further with silicone muffin rounds, rectangles, and squares. It also comes with a full utensil set!
Basic Three Compartment- even if it’s just a sandwich, with fruit, and cheese or veg on the side. This can be used in a multitude of ways. And, they are stackable so if you are prepping for a couple of days or people they don’t use much space.
Bentgo Insulated Food Container - Large enough for two cups and keeps everything hot. Make sure you depress the button in the center (it took me months to figure it out) to release the pressure. Perfect for soups or pastas!
Thermos Food Jar- this is narrower than the above and better for kids. It comes in a couple of different sizes. My kids started with the smaller version and then bumped up to the larger one. Be sure to fill it with hot water while you prepare your food so it stays warmer longer.
Lunchblox by Rubbermaid- these have been a workhorse in our house for years. The different size containers fit onto each other and so does their ice pack!
Accessories! I use different sauce containers, dressing containers, cutlery, and silicone cups in lunch boxes.
These rectangle silicone cups are perfect for portioning and separating items in your bento box.
Even though they’re round, I can get four of these round silicone muffin cups in a square. Great for homemade Lunchables in your three-compartment container!
These dressing containers come in two sizes along with a cleaning brush. We pack these with all of our salads and we’ve never had a leak.
These little sauce containers fit into the stackable bento or the three-compartment container.
Stasher Bags- Each of my kids has a set of Stasher’s for everything that can’t fit into something else. We love these since they are reusable and washable!
For the Littlest Ones! I remember the days of making shapes out of sandwiches and having fun cut-outs. It always made my kids actually eat their lunches. This section is for those parents. It’ll take a little extra time, especially if you enlist your little hands but it’s worth it to not have a hangry kid at the end of the day.
Thermos Funtainer Water Bottle- We LOVED these and had them in multiple colors and character bottles. There are so many options to choose from!
Make your own uncrustable with these sandwich cutters & sealers. My kids were not sandwich kids (still really aren’t) but they would always eat a sandwich when I turned it into something else.
