Back to school (and Work) Lunches
We’re back to school and it means we are packing lunches again. If you need some younger kids’ inspo, check out this post from a few years ago. With two teenagers, both of whom, are athletes, we go through A LOT of food each week. My kids will take anything from salads to the occasional sandwich. They still love a “lunchable” it just has a lot more bulk to it than before. Is everything 100% “healthy”? Nope. My kids will spend my money on hot Cheetos every day whether I like it or not so I’d rather pay less and give it to them. It’s a balance. They eat pretty well but the chip battle is not a fight I’m willing to take on right now. Do I wish they skipped it, of course, but they eat tons of fresh fruits and veggies. They’re fine.
If you haven’t purchased my e-book, Family Meal. It’s packed with options for lunches and leftovers for lunch. Grab it here!
In addition to the below, there are more options on the blog. A few other ideas that aren’t published on the blog but are on Instagram:
Protein Box- as seen above. Deli meats, salami, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, crackers, and fruit
Veggie Sushi- it’s SO easy to make and fun to eat!
Tuna Crunch Wrap or Tuna Sandwich- the crunch wrap is money. Or put the tuna on lettuce!
Tofu Fresh Rolls-I make this often at home for myself, really just for the sauce
Here’s a roundup of a few recipes on the blog. More coming soon!
